Christmas in Pittsburgh

"My cousin Jillian shows me how to use my new Elmo cell phone."
"Wow! Check out my new Baby Grand Piano from Pap Petie and Granny LuLu! Dad set it up for me and I love moving to the beat. I don't have much rhythm yet, but I am working on it!"
"Hey Uncle Mike- this is great beer! Mom says I am only allowed to taste a little, though!"
My cousin Mike with his wife Kristin
Santa left lots of little presents in Matt's stocking!
Foti, Matt, and me in front of my Mom and Bruce's gigantic tree- it was smaller this year- only 15 feet tall!
Gram Gerbo with her kids, Gary, Paula (My Mom), Pam, and Greg. Uncle Glenn spent Christmas with his family in TexASS this year.
Matt likes eating the wrapping paper more than the gift in the box!
Me and my cousins, Kris, Jacob, Deandra (Dee), and Marchelle (Weezie)
Foti and Bruce practicing their shooting on Christmas Eve. Nice camo.
Matt loves giving his Grammy PJ 'sharkies'. He bites so hard- it's a good thing he doesn't have teeth yet!

My Little Einstein

As you all know, I am a proud momma and want to share all the cool new things my munchkin does! Yesterday, he scooted 3 steps on his hands and knees, albeit in a backwards motion. What an accomplishment! I never thought he was going to be interested in crawling. Today, he's been doing the same thing over and over again! Tonight, he surprised me with a game of Peek-A-Boo! Usually, I am the one who hides and pops up, but today he put a towel over his face and did it himself about a million times! It was so cute! I caught it on my camera, stay tuned!

Christmas Party

Last night we had our annual ER Christmas Party at the home of one our physicians. Even though it rained a bit, we still had a great time drinking, dancing and eating. It's so much fun to see your co workers in a social setting- there are always a few "closet party people" in the mix!

Iva and Rosa make a 'Ted' sandwich
Patty, Hazel, Grace, and Humberto
Phyllis checks out Rohini's itty bitty baby bump while I along with Genelie, Fotis and Richard put on our best smiles.

DJ Phat Matt and Juice Master D

My friend RaShana and her main little man Deuce came over to visit on Thursday. Deuce is getting so big! He is 6 months old and such a cutie! He loves to be held and smiles all the time- even when Fotis was all up in his two-toothed grill. :)

Here's my kid pulling Deuce's hair. Nice. Is Matt smiling?? Gotta work on that one. Poor Deucey!

Guess What I Did Today?

"I am such a big boy! When Mom and I were in music class today, I was so excited that I started clapping my hands together! Mom was so proud of me. Once we got home, she fed me a yummy lunch and she even gave me a few pieces of her whole grain bread. I really liked the taste of the bread so I decided to try to feed myself a few pieces. And guess what? I did it all on my own! I have a pretty big mouth so it was an easy target. Mom kept calling Daddy all day long to tell him about my new accomplishments. He was so proud of me, too!"

Cry Baby

My best bud Jaime wrote me an email a while ago and said, "Your kid is always smiling and happy. Doesn't he ever cry??" Of course he does, but I usually don't get pics of it. I found a few, which are too funny. Note the sticking out of his lower lip- that cracks me up!

I havne't posted new pics because I haven't taken too many recently. It's been crazy because of the holidays, but not to fret! New photos are coming soon!

Annual Holiday Clothing Drive

A few years ago, I began volunteering at a local shelter for people who are temporarily homeless. These men, women, and children became homeless due to the loss of a job, condemnation of their home, or various other reasons. I worked in the kitchen preparing, cooking, and serving food to these grateful people. I wanted to find other ways to help them, so I began collecting items around my house that were in good shape, but that we weren't using anymore. About 4 times a year, Foti and I drive downtown and unload all kinds of goodies- clothing, household items, and canned goods. Two years ago, I organized a clothing drive at work with great success to benefit this shelter (I missed last year due to Matt's impending birth). I would like to do it again this year and need your help! If you live near us, please gather up any clothes you aren't wearing (and those clothes that you aren't ever going to fit into again) and drop them off at our house by December 17. Foti and I will make sure everything is delivered to them before the holidays begin. If you live too far from us, maybe you could do your own collection to benefit a shelter in your area. We are all so fortunate and blessed- let's try to make someone else's Christmas season a little brighter.

I'm 8 Months Old!

" Today I am 8 months- WOW-has the time gone by so fast! Mom says I am growing like a weed. Here are a few things I can do now:

-Sit up 100% on my own
-spin myslef in a circle when I am lying on my belly so I can reach my toys
-lift my arms up when Mom or Dad comes to pick me up
-lifting my bum up in an effort to crawl, not quite there yet!
-eating three meals a day
-pay attention and concentrate on what's going on around me- I am so curious!
-playing with all the buttons on my toys
-tyring to pick food up between my thumb and index finger

As you can see, I have been a very busy boy these past few months! Everyone is amusing to me- I laugh and smile almost all of the time. My Mom and Dad really lucked out with me!"

Dear Santa,

"Hey Santa- it was so nice to meet you the other day at the mall. I know I told you all the things I'd like for Christmas, but I figured you might forget since you listened to so many kids that day. Anyway, I thought I'd list a few things on this site that I'd like and a few things I need. Oh yeah, and I put a few things down for my Mom and Dad, too. Think you could hook them up with some cool stuff? Thanks, Santa. You rock."
