You Thought Your Day Was Tough...

Last night I came home from work, tired but in a good mood, Foti had a wonderful dinner with wine on the table (thanks to the folks at Epicure), and the boy was fast asleep. Sounds like love and romance, eh? It was until I took my first bite of churrasco and choked on it! It was stuck in my windpipe and I couldn't reach it with my fingers or cough it up. Foti saw the look in my eye and jumped up to my rescue and gave me the Heimlich maneuver, not once but twice until I coughed it up. Holy shit!!! It was the most scary thing that ever happened to me- I was so panicked. My man came to my rescue and for that I thank him! Love you, babes!

Week In Review

Since I am such a busy Mom, wife, friend, and nurse, I don't have much time for blogging these days. So here ya go, the week in review...

Matt's main squeeze Eva came over on Sunday and they had so much fun together. He's a bit more rough than she is, but I think she'll soften him up a bit. She already started with the pink baby doll!

All Smiles!!

Sometimes, we forget that Matt is still a baby. It's times like this that make you realize!

Here's my sleepy-head, bruise-on-the-face, alarm clock thief yesterday morning. And while he was stealing the clock, he hit the button on the main alarm clock (yes, I need two) and it went off at 5:45 this morning. Nice.

He thinks it's a phone.

On Tuesday evening, we went to the pool and the boy drank (I swear) about 2 gallons of water. He was in the kiddy pool and did *not* want anyone to hold his hand and insisted on following the big kids. He was non-stop and had a total meltdown when we took him out an hour and a half later. I think next time I am going to strap a harness on him, so I can just yank him up out of the water instead of bending over every 2.2. seconds. My aching back!!

Every time you put shades on him, he opens his mouth. Whatever goofball.
There you have it! He's also getting his fifth tooth and is a cranky mofo this weekend. His Aunt Karen watched him last night while Mom and Dad went out on a hot date to a great Portugese restaurant. We were home before 10 pm. Such party people we are!

Grammy PJ Came To Town!

"Hi Everyone! The Man-Of-the-House here. My Grammy PJ came to visit me this week and we had so much fun! I didn't want her to go home- we entertain each other so well! It gave Mom and Dad a chance to relax a little. She gave me a bath every night, helped me eat (I am learning to feed myself with a utensil, you know), cleaned my stinky bum and carried me around! WooHoo! Check us out:"

"Gram took me for a walk everyday. It's really hot here, so we had to stop at Starbucks for a little refresher on the way back."

"Check out my new hoop! The first one Dad bought me was too small for my professional capabilities, so we took it back and got this kick-ass hoop. Grammy showed me how to do an Alley-Oop. She's not too bad for a Grandma!"

"Me and Grammy walked to the pool (well, she walked- I chilled in my stroller) and swam the whole afternoon while Mom and Dad were at work. I had so much fun playing and splashing around. I am too crazy in the water so Gram couldn't watch me and take my photo. Too bad, I am a damn god swimmer. Well, for a munchkin anyway. My Aunt Karen calls me "Thorpedo."

"Here's me just looking cute. If you look real close, my front right tooth is already chipped and I've only had it for about 2 months. Mom doesn't remember when it happened and I am definitely not telling!!"

"Me, Mom and Grammy went to the mall and had so much fun! I like shopping! Gram bought me a really cool pair of white and black Puma's and she bought Mom a new bag so she can carry all my stuff around. Then we went to have more fun:"

"We played in the play area for kids and I ran around so much and made Mom and Gram chase me everywhere! I am getting better and more coordinated at running. Gram and I had so much fun together- we really miss her! When ya moving to Miami, Grammy?!?"
