Happy Saturday!

Mr. Matthaios woke up from another good night's sleep. He was a happy little camper in his swing this morning while Foti, Alexandra, and I ate breakfast. We are taking him shopping today- I think he likes the mall and he especially gets excited over sales. I prop him up in his stroller and he looks everywhere and doesn't miss a thing. Alexandra brought him a beautiful gold pin from Greece that he wears when he leaves the house, so as not to get the "Evil Eye" from everybody looking at him!

Sleepy Babe

So Matty is finally sleeping better- going to bed around 8 or 9, waking once at 3 am to nurse and then then he is up for the day at 7 am. He has also been taking better naps during the day IN HIS CRIB! YAY! I know in these pics he is not in his crib, but oh well- sue me. On another note, check out the sides of his hair! WTH? First the top fell out, then grew in nicely (with a bit of a cowlic I might say) now the sides fell out! But he still has this really long hair on the crown of his head which looks too funny. I hope he outgrows this alopecia business.

DAD! Check out this headline!

"Can you believe Ben Roethlisberger (my favorite NFL quarterback) got cited for not wearing a helmet and not having a motorcycle license? Talk about adding insult to injury."

Lazy Days Gone By

This pic was taken last summer of the two most handsome Greek men in Nafpaktos, Foti and his best friend Tassos, AKA 'The Greek Godfather.' Instead of long summer afternoons of drinking frappes and playing chess, Papa A now spends his time changing diaper blow-outs and getting thrown up on. What a difference a year makes!

Matty and his Aunt Katerina

Matty, Foti's sister Katerina, and I went to Starbucks the other day. It was scorching hot so Mom made Matty wear this cute little hat, which he could care less about. I think he looks yummy!

And 1

Check out the funkmaster himself, DJ Phat Matt and his proud Papa. Papa A thinks Matt is going to play in the NBA someday, hence the 'And 1' basketball get up. I am sure the way the HEAT are playing, Baby A could be of some assistance! What's going on D. Wade, Shaq and Udonis? You guys better get back in the game before Dallas stomps all over you!

Me, Myself, and I

So Matty has discovered himself in the mirror on his Pappasan swing. He stares at himself and smiles. What a little narcissist! He is growing everyday. He can now stuff part of his hand into his mouth ON PURPOSE! He is holding his head up so well and likes to stand while you hold him on your lap. I think he is advanced for his age, if I do say so myself! HA-I am sure every Mom thinks that about their kid. He is sleeping better at night- he goes to bed at 9 pm and wakes at 2 am and then again at 5 am. Hey, it's better than every 2 hours! He is still a stinker with his naps, only taking them when he feels like it and usually they are cat naps. We're working on that one! His reflux is improving- he still pukes, but much less and doesn't seem to have discomfort anymore. He has the biggest, cutest smile I ever saw in my life and Foti and I are so in love with this little guy! How he has changed our lives for the better!

Mr. Pork Chopoulos

Matty had his 2 month visit with the doctor today. He had 6 vaccinations in three different injections. Poor baby. He got one in his arm and one in each thigh. He screamed so hard that his face- I swear- turned purple! He cried for about two minutes then was smiling at the girls in the office. Once we got home, I gave him some tylenol and fed him and he is knocked out! He now weighs 11 pounds, 11.5 ounces and is 22.5 inches long. Oh, and the doctor also diagnosed him with "unbelievable cuteness!" *We already knew that!*

Matty finally got to meet his Yia Yia Alexandra and Thia Katerina last week. Katerina will be staying with us for 3 weeks, Alexandra for 3 months. Matty loves listening to his Yia Yia sing him songs in Greek. He's gettting so much attention!

Mommy and Me

"Yeah, I'm bored with this photography business..."

"MOM! QUIT MAKING ME HOLD MY HEAD UP- I'M STILL A BABY, DAMMIT!"

"Hey- how you doin'?"

Today the three of us are at home hanging out waiting for YiaYia Alexandra and Thia Katerina to arrive from Greece. Well actually, Matt and I are hanging out watching Foti clean the whole house with a toothbrush. Anyhoo, I figured I'd take some pictures to show you all how damn cute my kid is- as if you didn't already know.
