HOP

I have been involved in a women's group named 'HOP' which stands for 'Hearts of Palm' that meets once a month here in Miami. My friend Janie, whom I ran the Disney Marathon with last year, was the founder of the group and asked me to join. Each month, we meet at a different members home and discuss our goals for the present year and what we've done to obtain them. Also, one member does a short presentation such as how to faux finish your walls or personal finance or how to make fresh pasta. I've met a lot of new friends and learned a lot about myself as well. We had our monthly meeting here last night and went over our goals for 2006. Here are mine:
1. Get more involved with my Church
2. Learn to speak Greek better (MIL is coming to stay with us this summer to help with the baby and she speaks NO english!)
3. Curse less (or not at all)
4. Continue exercising throughout the remainder of my pregnancy
5. Begin running again after the baby is born

Last year, I obtained all my goals, except the one about losing 10 pounds. Yeah, I gained 18 pounds- oh well. Better cut back on those sausages and beer.

Birthday Boy

Sunday was David B.'s 20-16 birthday so the gang came over for pizza and to watch the Golden Globes. Dave's cool mom Carol was visiting from Atlanta.

29 Weeks

Every month, Fotis takes my picture so we can track my growing belly. Here I am at 7 months, 1 week. 11 more weeks to go! I have gained a total of 14 pounds and who knows how many inches!

Movin' Out

Tonight, 1o of us from the ER went to Fort Lauderdale for dinner at Max's on the Riverwalk and then to see "Movin' Out" at the Broward Center for Performing Arts. The music and dancing were incredible. Joann scored us some awesome box seats. Baby Matty enjoyed the show, too. He was jumping around the entire performance- I guess he likes Billy Joel!
