Just the Three Of Us...

February in Miami

This past weekend, we packed up our car and headed over to Key Biscayne for a day at the beach. We haven't been to that beach in so long and forgot how nice it is! There are lots of coconut palm trees for shade so you can spend more time in the sand. Matthaios thoroughly enjoyed himself (his Mom and Dad did , too.) We felt like we were on vacation! Fotis and I have both been overly stressed at work so it was great to relax. The only thing we forgot was the coronas! (We had a few at lunch on the way home- close enough.)

Magic Kingdom

Last weekend, we drove to Orlando to go to the Magic Kingdom. We rode some of the rides, including, "It's a Small World" and the carrousel. We all had so much fun. Yia Yia especially liked meeting Mickey Mouse and convinced the boys to stand in line for 30 minutes to get their picture taken with him.

Weekend Fun

On Sunday, Matt and I went to the baptism of my friend RaShana's son, Deuce (his name is Elvin, but ain't nobody calling him that). Deuce looked so handsome in his fancy suit (although the oh so talented photographer missed a good shot of him in it) and the ceremony was beautiful. RaShana's dad is a pastor and performed the baby dedication at their church. It was very personal- we all stood up on the altar surrounding the family. Afterwards, everyone went out to eat at Bucco di Peppo. I was very impressed that my ants-in-his-pants son made it through the entire afternoon without a meltdown! We had a beautiful afternoon and were so happy to be there on Deuce's special day!

Weekend Fun

On Saturday, we went to our friends Marco and Michelle's home to say goodbye to our friends and colleagues Kristin and Hassan. They are moving to India this month and we are going to miss them! It was a beautiful breezy day and we had lots of great food and conversation.
