Doctor Visit
The little guy has had a cold and dry cough intermittently for about 6 weeks. Yesterday, his cough became very wet and much harsher sounding and he developed a low grade fever. I left work early today and took him to his pediatrician who diagnosed him with bronchiolitis, an infection and inflammation of his bronchioles (the airways that lead to his lungs). She gave him 2 breathing treatments in the office and arranged for us to have a home nebulizer machine delivered to the house for us to give him the treatments at home every 4 hours. She also prescribed some steroids to help decrease the inflammation in his lungs. Poor little thing! He absolutely freaked out in the office with the breathing treatments but did a little better at home. He is acting like his normal, happy self though, which is a big relief to us! Seeing him sick just breaks my heart in two and it's only a mild illness. The doctor said he should be feeling alot better in the next day or two.

Travis and I just went through this a few weeks ago... The breathing treatments are awful for the little ones because they are annoying to have blowing intheir face for 10+minutes... but if your little man is a deep sleeper maybe you can do it at a nap nap while he is catching some Z's.. if you ahve any questions for me just write, I am NOT an expert but just did all this mess!
one more thing... give him a little kiss from T and I and let him know we are thinking about him and hope he gets better soon!
